FINDER'S FEE

A television serial or film cantered around a mysterious and crazy loner who lives in his car and spends his time ranting at youths, drinking himself stupid and urinating in public.

Alan Harding doesn’t have a home and doesn’t need one. As long as he can make enough money from bar work and mugging anyone who attempts to mug him to put whiskey in his mouth and petrol in his car, he’s quite content to wallow in self pity until the void swallows him up. Sarah and Mohid are two media students who decide to make a film of the mysterious man before whisky or a police cell claim him permanently- what they don’t bank on is Harding loving the idea and taking them with him everywhere he goes, teaching the two everything he knows about survival on the streets.

When a local girl called Helen Paulson runs away to London and disappears, the police are lost for leads. Desperate parents promise a reward for any information that will get her back, and Harding steps up to the challenge. He takes Sarah and Mohid on a journey across the country, divulging his mad philosophy and doing battle with anything that stands between him and Helen- or more importantly, his finder’s fee.
As Mohid constantly uploads his footage, the nation begins to follow the strange tale.

Harding’s madness veers between liberating and frightening and soon it becomes clear that he will do anything to achieve his goal.
