WORLDVIEW

Worldview is an RPG computer game about points of view. Cultural memes and trends affect our identities and our personalities all the time. Worldview allows the player to decide not only what their player says and does but what they believe. With identities exchangeable in the way we would change our job or fashion style, Worldview is a game where the entire look of the in-game world can change constantly. Equip a new ID and the whole world looks different and the responses that your character can give and receive change, subtly or drastically, and also what areas and cliques you can access.

What personality are you wearing today? Download new IDs for your Memedex implant (from your sponsor corporation) and try a little Risk Taker today. Got a date? Romantic and Charming are available as a discount pack this week only. Idos government regulations state that home made ID packs are illegal and tweaking Worldview base code is highly dangerous- do you suspect someone of being a hacker? Corrupted ID files are a myth; any sign of personality dysfunction is due to misuse. Idos accepts no responsibility for loss of original personality.

The story of the game takes place as the player, a journalism student, delves into rumours of ID packs that have been corrupted. Those whose minds have naturally rebelled against the software intrusion are put into very secret Idos care facilities- they are the lucky ones, for some get no help and end up feral or worse. The player delves into the darkest parts of life to find out who or what is behind this- is it a dark government plot, nature fighting back, or a terrorist attempt to liberate us from a system that is less beneficial that we think?

I know what my opinion is. I bought it this morning.
